Moses Kotane Awards High School Bursaries

BURSARY UPDATE: 16th December 2010
The Moses Kotane Institute is proud to announce that 320 candidates have been shortlisted for the Moses Kotane Institute High School Bursaries 2010.
Applicants will be require to write tests on Maths, Science, and English, at Burnwood Secondary School, on Thursday, the 17th December 2009, at 8:00 for 8:30.
Applicants should bring either their South African ID document, or their Birth Certificate, or a certified copy of either.

The Moses Kotane Institute invites all KwaZulu-Natal Grade 9 learners from economically disadvantaged families in KZN to submit applications for bursaries to study for 3 years at selected MKI schools located in Durban.
The Bursareis will cover tuition fees, uniforms, textbooks and accomodation for 3 years of study, beginning with grade 10 (2010) and finishing with Grade 12 (2010).
It is planned that this intervention will be offered in close conjunction with two high performing established secondary schools in the Sydenham Area. This area has been selected on the basis of it's prximity to the St. Michaels' Boarding establishment, which the MKI has secured exclusively for this programme.
To qualify, you have to be a grade 9 learner from an economically disadvantaged background anywhere in KwaZulu-Natal. Successful learners will have 50% or more achievements in English, Maths and Science. To be awarded these bursaries, you will need to provide authenticated exam results for 2009, and write a Maths, Science and English test in December 2009. Also, you will be required to pass a means test to prove that you need finacial support. Parents may be invited to the selection process.
