The Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs hosted a Business Seminar and Community Engagement on Spending Patterns Awareness Campaign in Ulundi Local Municipality at Da Chillerz Lounge on 17 December 2019. The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Moses Kotane Institute (MKI), Doctor Simphiwe Buthelezi’s presentation focused on economic opportunities created through the mandate of MKI under the 3 pillars: Research, Innovation and Maritime. Dr. Buthelezi provided an insight to findings of the research studies recently conducted by MKI and cited the Commercialisation of Cannabis as well as the study on Violence Against Women and Children which the provincial government strongly condemns.
