Ms. Noxolo Ngubane, Legal Practitioner at the Moses Kotane Institute, presented on various services offered by MKI under the Research, Innovation and Maritime mandate, at the EThekwini Municipality (South) Business Revitalization Summit hosted by the Department Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs on 30 November 2019. She made reference of the Enterprise Development Programme, which seeks to empower small businesses with business sustainability and she also touched on Innovation related business opportunities. Ms Ngubane further mentioned that on the day was the closing date for entering for MKI Innovation Awards which provide Innovators with exhibition and marketing opportunities, in which such events are attended by various investors plus the winners walk away with prices valued at R50 000. In closing Ngubane encouraged youth, particularly, Africans, to take advantage of opportunities offered by maritime sector, such as aquaculture and boat building.
