03 December marks the International Day of persons with disabilities. The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) was invited by Impumelelo of the Disabled Rural community projects to their disability empowerment forum held under the theme: “Help Disabled Youth envision new better careers through Fourth Industrial Revolution, networking intelligence and public private partnerships.” The event took place at Qadi Community Hall, in Umzinyathi on 03 December 2019. Speaking on behalf of MKI, Doctor Simphiwe Buthelezi, Executive Manager: Research, indicated that the current economic gap between males and females will spread even wider due to the disruptive nature of the industry. In her view, in order to reduce the gender gap, people need to first change mentality, reduce the stereotypes that has been passed on from generation to generation.
