INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR: SKIPPER INSTRUCTOR  

REF: MSI- 01/2021

Purpose:  The Moses Kotane Institution seeks to appoint an experienced and qualified individual as a Skipper Instructor (Category C) in its Maritime Sub-unit. Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in Kwa Zulu Natal or can conduct training in KwaZulu Natal.

Requirements:                SAMSA Accredited Instructor Certification, Examiner’s License, Valid Driver’s License (C1 or above).

Experience:                     Minimum 5 years’ experience in conducting similar training (theory and practical).

Remuneration:                DPSA Level 10 Notch 1

Duration                         6 Months (project based)

Main Responsibilities:   Plan, facilitate and assess skipper training; compile and present training reports, coach and mentor skipper candidates

Correspondence:   Interested candidates submit a comprehensive CV, certified copy of ID, certified copy of SAMSA Accreditation as a skipper instructor, driver’s licence.
