Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategies economic sections; to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.
The Program is a partnership initiative with Municipalities to promote the much-needed Digital Skilling in their respective communities. To this end the opportunities are extended to Unemployed South African Youth (between the ages of 18-35) who reside or come from the following municipalities: UKhahlamba, Jozini, Uphongolo, Inkosi Langalibalele and Umdoni. Successful candidates will be expected to enter a 24-month contract and will receive a monthly stipend.
Requirements: A National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF 6) obtained from an Accredited Tertiary Institution. Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive.
Duties: Responsible for facilitating Digital Skills training at MKI Digital Centres, Assessment of learner performance, Monitoring of leaner performance and attendance, Identify and implement learner improvement systems and support, general administration and Provide support to Digital Centre Manager.
Remuneration: R7000.00
