Applications are invited for the 6 X positions of Independent Contractor: Data Collectors.  

 

Background: The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) is looking to appoint 6 (six) individuals for data collectors – independent contractor positions. The opportunity is limited to MKI bursary holders in line with the MKI Bursary Terms and Conditions.

 

Minimum Requirements & Competencies:    A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Statistics or Finance related at NQF Level 7; 01 – 02 years project co-ordination or research experience; ability to evaluate, verify, and edit research data; ability to work independently, accurately and to problem solve during the research project. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel,); Preference will be given to graduates from the King Cetshwayo District. A driver’s licence will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:                     Carry out the data collection process in accordance with all reasonable instructions given by the MKI (i.e., sampling, availing data collection device); Collect Data with the level of care, skill, competence, diligence, and professional judgement.

 Terms of Appointment:       The incumbent to the above position will be offered a 3 (three) day project specific Independent Contractor appointment with remuneration at R350.00 per day.
