Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination  and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements: Organisational Development / Project Management qualification (Degree) or international project management certification, i.e. Prince 2, PMP, PMBOK (2) and a Certificate in Business Process Management.

Duration: 36-month contract, performance-based contract.

Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Modelling.

Remuneration: DPSA Level 11

Responsibilities:  The MKI Innovation Independent Contractor: Business Process Management duties, include but not limited to: Describe/mapping the current architecture and create supporting artefacts and models; Design process maps and flow analysis; Integration with other types of modelling tools i.e. MS Visio; Process simulation and providing comprehensive, customised reports.
