MANAGER: ICT RESEARCH AND REPOSITORY

Background:The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination  and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfill this new role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, willing to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements: Master’s degree in business / social sciences / information systems or applied sciences. PhD would be an added advantage.

Experience: 5 years’ relevant experience.

Remuneration: DPSA Level 13

Responsibilities: The Manager: ICT Research and Repository duties, include but not limited to Managing the implementation of sub-unit strategic and operational plans. Management of the Data Repository system. Management of sub-unit budget. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. People Management.
