The Moses Kotane Institute MKI was represented by Advocate Thembelihle Mapipa at the Luban Workshop that took place at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) on 16 December 2019. Luban workshops are named after Chinese architecture, Lu Ban from around the 4thcentury BC and were designed by the Tianjin government. The Luban Workshop for Africa was announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the September Beijing Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit. “The purpose of the workshop is to share the latest vocational education developments, provide teaching, training and promote mutual understanding and exchange by introducing the latest vocational education knowledge and technical training experiences to the local and international delegates,” according to DUT website. DUT and Tianjin Vocational sealed a partnership through Memorandum of Understanding.
